Dear Sponsor/Captain,
Welcome back! On behalf of the Officers and
Executive Board, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your team to the
35th season of team competition in the QUAKER CITY ENGLISH DART LEAGUE,
Inc. This is also an election year, so if you or someone you know is
interested in running for a Board or Officer position please review the
various position requirements detailed in the league By-Laws or speak to
a current board member or officer. As always, we are excited at the
prospect of bringing new ideas and perspectives to the league!
We were once again able to keep sponsor and player dues the same
as last year. We ask that every team continue to do their part and get
their money paid in full ASAP.
NEW THIS YEAR, we will be
requesting that each team make an effort to sell 5 lottery
style raffle tickets the cost is $10 per ticket ($50 per team). We
need your support to make this work! Details will be included in each
Captains packet.
As we do each year, we have reviewed the By-Laws
and Rules and Regulations. There are no new, significant changes but
please read them carefully and encourage your team and sponsor to read
them as well. It has always
been our goal to be fair in interpreting and enforcing the rules as
written.this year will be no different.
As we initiated last year, we will NOT be mailing standings. We
realize this met with some resistance at first, but we feel that it not
only spared the league an expense but paid a dividend by requiring
captains and their teams to be more involved in what was going on.
Standings will be available via Phillydarts.com and QCEDL.COM and will
only be printed and handed out at the monthly captains meeting.
A league meeting schedule will be included in the
Captains team packet. We are returning to a single meeting per
month format. REMEMBER meetings are for the membership while it
seems that all we do is collect dues and score sheets, if there is no
new business or announcements, we see no point in keeping people hanging
around for no reason.
As we have the past three seasons, we will hold 2 registration
meetings. They will be held
on Saturday, September 6th
from
1pm to 4pm and
Sunday, September7th
from
12pm to 2 pm, both at Currans Irish Inn (Longshore
& Old State Road).
Please fill in all information requested on the registration form
as completely as possible.
This includes the correct address and spelling of the sponsoring bar,
player names, phone numbers, checking the box for the desired night of
play and the division shot last season.
Incomplete forms will not be
accepted. Rosters will not
be accepted without the appropriate registration sponsor and player
monies.
Once again - in an effort to continue to try and
address the issue of player additions and the problems associated with
teams adding players beyond the permitted time frame or with no regard
to the rules,
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE
BE PLAYER ADD ONS AFTER YOUR TEAM IS PLACED IN YOUR DIVISION EXCEPT
BY RULE UNDER ARTICLE XVI-4.

It covers the league sponsorship fee and the cost on an official
league dart board for each team registered.
Sponsor Fee:
1 Team = $165.00
2 Team = $270.00
3 Team = $375.00
4 Team = $500.00
**Each
additional team $125.00
PLAYER DUES
TOTAL PLAYER DUES FOR THE SEASON ARE
$30.00 PER PLAYER
TEAM MEMBER PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
1st payment - $20.00 per player due at registration
2nd payment - $10.00 per player due at pick-up
Example: If you have 6
players on your roster, $120.00 is due @ registration.
Your balance is $ 60.00 for the season
IF ALL PLAYER AND SPONSOR DUES ARE NOT PAID BY THE OCTOBER MEETING, YOUR
TEAM WILL BE OUT!!!

The executive board has set
Tuesday, September 23rd
and Thursday, September 25th for the start of the 2008
